Currently Creativity in the Community offers a Creative Outlet Exploration program called The Plug Program. It is offered to individual community members as well as organizations throughout Lake and Mendocino County. This program consists of 12 Artists in each group, with 24 sessions in the first six months. Sessions are held once a week for 2 hours each. All supplies will be provided to each Artist. In each session the Artist will be exposed to a different creative art and craft that encourages self-exploration and creation.
Each Artist receives an Artist Kit which includes the items on the Artist Kit page. These Artist's Kits provide each individual in the program the tools to continue art exploration at home on their own!
The sessions include the items you see on the right and include experimentation in: Charcoal Drawing, Photography, Abstract Painting, Block Printing, Clay Slab Vases, Collage, Canvas Crafts, Exploration of Music and Art, Relief Sketching, Abstract Sculpture, Mosaic Coasters, Hand Made Stool, Group Murals, Paper Mache, Wooden Sculpture, Basket Weaving, Creative Writing, Faux Stained Glass Sculpture and more!
